Take a previous creation and remake it but using another technique.
Sometimes we miss great opportunities in life; conformity is our worst enemy and anxiety its deadly companion. I challenge you to take a work that already exists in your portfolio or gallery and reinterpret it in a new way, exploring and venturing into other techniques, styles or ideas that you may have since discovered or ideas from other artists that have caught your attention and ask how this work of mine would be seen in another way. Perhaps you choose a manual work and want to reinterpret it manually or vice versa. Or maybe you want to try something more abstract from a more figurative work.
For what purpose? First play, have fun without the pressure of doing something to sell or show in a gallery, just explore other techniques but get rid of the weight of ideas something new or make a new concept, because we already resolved that previously in the work we are interpreting.
But I invite you to go a little more crazy and think outside your regular ways of creating, what if you forget the pencil and brushes and redo your work with colored paper cutouts or even with modeling clay? It is your playground and you have no limits.
Without fear of being wrong and without the idea of creating a work of art with the result, just: see what happens and learn something in the process. what angles have we left out? What colors or shapes have we ignored?
We are not looking for flaws or what we have already done, but imagine a writer who has described a scene from his omniscient status knowing every detail… what would happen if he tells the same scene from the character who is living it?
Discover something new from another point of view.
Redibujar con otra técnica
En ocasiones dejamos pasar grandes oportunidades en la vida; la conformidad es nuestro peor enemigo y la ansiedad su compañero mortal. Te reto a tomar un trabajo ya exista en tu portafolio o galería y lo reinterpretes de una nueva manera, explorando y aventurándonos a otras técnicas, estilos o ideas que desde entonces quizás has descubierto o ideas de otros artistas que te han llamado la atención y te preguntes como sería esta obra mía vista de otra manera. Quizás elijas una obra manual y quieras reinterpretarla manual o la inversa. O quizás quieras probar algo más abstracto de una obra más figurativa.
¿Con qué objetivo? Primero jugar, divertirnos sin la presión de hacer algo para vender o mostrar en una galería, solo explorar otras técnicas pero quitándonos de encima el peso de ideas algo nuevo o hacer un concepto nuevo, pues eso ya lo resolvimos previamente en la obra que estamos reinterpretando.
Pero te invito a volverte un poco más loco y pensar fuera de tus regulares formas de crear, que tal si olvidas el lápiz y los pinceles y rehaces tu obra con recortes de papel de colores o incluso con arcilla para moldear? Es tu patio de juegos y no tienes limites.
Sin miedo a equivocarse y sin la idea de crear una obra de arte con el resultado, solo: ver qué pasa y aprender algo en el proceso. ¿qué ángulos hemos omitido? ¿Qué colores o formas hemos ignorado?
No estamos buscado defectos o lo que ya hemos hecho, pero imagina un escritor que ha descrito una escena desde su estatus omnisciente sabiendo cada detalle… ¿qué pasaría si contará la misma escena desde el personaje que está viviendolo?
